Middle/Senior Level CEQA Analyst/Environmental Planner.
TRA is seeking a CEQA analyst who has detailed knowledge of the
entire CEQA process and who has experience preparing CEQA/NEPA documents.
The position will consist of assisting with research and writing
CEQA/NEPA documents, managing routine client communications, and
assisting with marketing efforts. Knowledge of CEQA/NEPA combined
with knowledge and direct experience in permit processes and laws,
including the Clean Water Act, state and federal endangered species
legislation, California Fish and Game Code, USACE water of the US
is essential. Experience obtaining permits from regulatory agencies
a plus.
The ideal candidate would also have had experience managing casework
and budgets, directing staff on case work, delegating work tasks
and reviewing the work of others. TRA is looking for an individual
who is capable and comfortable with client contact and representing
clients/TRA before agencies and in public forums. This position
would also entail developing TRA's client base through normal professional
networking and assisting with marketing efforts.
Minimum requirements are a Master's degree in environmental planning
or related discipline or a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience
preparing CEQA/NEPA documents. Excellent organizational, written,
verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and attention to
detail are required. This position requires a self-directed and
independent worker who also enjoys working in a team environment.

Associate/Senior Biologist. TRA Environmental Sciences,
Inc. seeks to hire a mid- to senior level Biologist to join the
staff at our Menlo Park, CA office. TRA is seeking a biologist who
is able to complete biological site assessments and botanical surveys,
prepare impact analysis for CEQA/NEPA documents, complete state
and federal agency biological permitting processes; and monitor
construction projects in sensitive habitat areas. The successful
candidate must be able to identify California flora and fauna and
map vegetation communities; Strong skills in GIS analysis and mapping
and aquatic environments desired. Talents that are highly valued
also include the ability to delineate wetlands per federal and California
Coastal Commission guidelines, including knowledge of arid west
requirements, specific endangered species survey experience or species
permits; and experience with conservation planning. Experience with
marketing and project and client management is also desired. Minimum

resources or related field, or a Bachelor's degree in such a field
